Information for diabetics and consumers with kidney complaints

Because SOLO® contains a different ratio of minerals compared to common salt, people with diabetes or kidney problems should consult their doctor if concerned.

The higher levels of magnesium and potassium make SOLO® different from common salt. In foods, salt (and SOLO®) levels are normally between 0.5% and 2.5%, and when using SOLO® 30% of the sodium in common salt is replaced by potassium and magnesium.

Potassium and magnesium can have health benefits in their own right but there are some people who must take care over their mineral intake and it is these who should seek medical advice.
